West Chester, Pennsylvania, June 13, 2026: The American Telugu Association (ATA) Philadelphia team successfully conducted the regional rounds of its popular cultural competitions — Jhummandi Nadam, Sayyandi Padam, and Beauty Pageant — at Stetson Middle School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, on June 13, 2026.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the local Telugu community, bringing together talented participants of all ages. Organized as qualifying competitions for the upcoming 19th ATA Conference & Youth Convention, the event aimed to identify, encourage, and showcase exceptional talent from across the region.
More than 150 contestants participated in various categories, demonstrating remarkable skill, creativity, and passion for Telugu arts and culture. A distinguished panel of over 10 judges evaluated the performances and selected winners and runners-up, who were honored with ATA trophies and earned the opportunity to compete at the national finals during the ATA Conference.
The event was led by Arun Rudra (Regional Director), Mujeebur Rehman Shaik (Chair – Jhummandi Nadam), Sravani Rudra (Local Coordinator), and Neelavani Kandukuri (Women Coordinator). The organizing team received valuable guidance from ATA Past President Parmesh Bheemreddy and Board of Trustee Raju Kakkerla.
Regional Coordinators Pramod Sangani, Venu Bandi, and Vamshi Yamzala also played key roles in ensuring the smooth execution of the competitions. The enthusiastic participation of contestants, parents, teachers, volunteers, and community members reflected the strong commitment of the Telugu community to preserving and promoting its rich cultural heritage.
The American Telugu Association (ATA) Pennsylvania/Delaware Team congratulated all winners and finalists and expressed sincere appreciation to every participant, parent, teacher, volunteer, and judge whose support contributed to the tremendous success of the event.
