NRI2NRI.COMThe Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA), established by Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Telangana in the United States Guided by distinguished leaders – Advisory Chair Dr. Vijayapal Reddy, Advisory Co-Chair Mohan Reddy Patalolla, and Advisory Member Bharath Madadi. TTA is proud to announce the tremendous success of the TTA Bathukamma Dasara 2024 celebrations. Under the leadership of TTA President Vamshi Reddy Kancharakuntla, these beloved Telangana traditions were joyously celebrated across the USA.
New York
The Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) New York team, led by its esteemed founder Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy Garu, successfully organized the TTA Bathukamma Dasara festivities, drawing significant attention and support from both the local community and government officials. The presence of prominent local leaders further elevated the event’s success and prestige. Devotees gathered to offer prayers to Gouri Devi and participate in the traditional Bathukamma celebrations. The event served as a platform for promoting positive change and fostering greater recognition of the flowers festival’s rich cultural significance. Key contributors to the event’s success include TTA New York Board of Directors members—Sahodar Reddy, Mallik Reddy, and Usha Reddy Manem, Rama Vanama, Pavan Ravva,Srinivas Guduru and RVP Satya Gaggenapally.
Indianapolis
The Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) Indianapolis chapter recently celebrated the vibrant Bathukamma festival under the esteemed leadership of Advisory Council Chair, Dr. Vijayapal Reddy Garu, General Secretary, Kavitha Reddy Garu, and RVP, Ravinder Reddy Purunmandla. The event was a tremendous success, bringing the community together in joyous celebration of Telangana’s rich cultural traditions.
New Jersey
The Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) New Jersey chapter celebrated the Bathukamma festival with great enthusiasm at the New Jersey Convention Center, under the esteemed leadership of Advisory Council Co-Chair, Dr. Mohan Patalolla Garu, and Executive Committee Joint Secretary, Shiva Reddy Kolla. The event attracted an impressive crowd, with over 5,000 women actively participating in the Bathukamma festivities. Key contributors to the success of the celebration included TTA New Jersey Board of Directors members—Sudhaker Uppala, Narsimha Peruka, and Narendar Reddy Yarava and and core members of New Jersey chapter.
Atlanta
The Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) Atlanta chapter recently celebrated the vibrant Dasara festival under the esteemed leadership of Advisory Council Member Bharath Reddy Madadi. The event was a tremendous success, bringing the community together in a joyful celebration of Telangana’s rich cultural heritage.

Seattle
In the hometown of President Vamshi Reddy, the Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) Seattle Chapter successfully hosted the vibrant Bathukamma festival, celebrating the cherished flower festival with enthusiasm. The community gathered to offer prayers to Gouri Devi, accompanied by the energetic sounds of traditional music. The event drew an impressive crowd, marking it as a significant success. Special thanks to the TTA Seattle EC and Board of Directors team—Manohar Bodke, Pradeep Mettu, Ganesh, and Sangeeta Reddy—for their efforts in organizing this memorable celebration.
Charlotte
The Charlotte team of the Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA), under the leadership of President-Elect Naveen Reddy Mallipeddi, successfully hosted the Bathukamma festival in Charlotte. The team organized a delightful array of cultural programs, making the event a memorable experience for all attendees. Special thanks go to the TTA Charlotte Board of Directors team—Nishanth Sirikonda, Srikanth Gali, Siva Karmuru, and Abhilash Muddi Reddy—for their dedication and meticulous planning in ensuring the festival’s success.
Greater Philadelphia
The TTA Philly Team joyfully celebrated the traditional Dasara Bathukamma festival, which was met with immense enthusiasm. Tampa
Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) Tampa chapter hosted a successful and vibrant celebration of Bathukamma, a traditional Telangana festival. The event clearly showcased the strong sense of unity and community spirit among the participants’ Tampa Team including BOD Narendar Metuku Garu, RVP’s Dileep Vasa and Raghu Alugubelli.
Boston
The TTA Bathukamma celebrations in Tampa, led by Executive Director Dr. Divakar Jandyam, were a beautiful event. Women played a key role in the festival, actively participating in creating colorful Bathukamma floral arrangements, which are central to this traditional celebration. The event also included a prize distribution, with awards given for the best Bathukamma.
Austin
The Austin chapter of the Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) hosted a vibrant and successful Bathukamma celebration, honoring the traditional festival of Telangana. The event highlighted a strong sense of unity and community spirit, with active participation from the Austin team, including Srinivas Reddy Yenna and Akhil Reddy.
The Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) Bathukamma celebrations extended across several cities, including Houston, and Phoenix, uniting the Telugu community in different states. These events showcased the vibrant culture of Telangana, allowing participants to celebrate the festival with great enthusiasm while promoting the tradition of Bathukamma on a larger scale. The efforts of TTA continue to strengthen cultural ties and preserve this important festival for future generations across the U.S.
President Vamshi Reddy Garu extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the states’ Board of Directors (BODs), Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), Regional Coordinators (RCs), and Standing Committees for the meticulous execution of the Bathukamma and Dasara festivals. He also expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed behind the scenes to ensure the success of the TTA Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations.
