Diwali Halchal – A unique celebration of festival by Atlanta Indian Family & HNM Live Media

Diwali Halchal is a unique celebration of Diwali festival for all walks of families in Atlanta. This event was organized by Sruthi Chittoory from Atlanta Indian Family (AIF) in association with Hetal Mehta from HNM Live Media and it attracted about 2000 people.

This event was organized at the Desana Middle school in Alpharetta on Saturday, November 16, 2024. This event was graced by Guest of Honors Hon. Carter Barret, District 24 Representative, Mr David Chastain & Mrs Lori Chastain, and Dr Florence Fasan along with other dignitaries from many Indian associations.

Speaking on this occasion Sruthi Chittoory, an event organizer and founder of Atlanta Indian Family said “we are so happy and overwhelmed with the unique programs and participation. Without the support from our amazing sponsors and patrons this is not possible.

Along with celebrating the Diwali festival, we want kids to learn about the story and history behind the festivals. That is the reason we came up with kids costume contest on mythological characters, which was a super hit and received applauds from everyone.

We also had Aarti Thali contest and Maha Aarti by our honorable guests and dignitaries. There was a mesmerizing Fashion Show and it was the highlight of the entire event. Entry to the event was free and many won raffle prizes.”

Audience were soaked up the music and the dance floor with entertainment provided by DJ AK, decorations by Creative Bells Events and photography by Sirisha from MS Studios and Photo Xperts. Amidst well over 25 shopping stalls and delicious food stalls, everyone had lot of fun.
