Donation & breakfast gratitude to Forsyth County police by GATeS in Cumming, Georgia

Greater Atlanta Telangana Society (GATeS) extended gratitude to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office by serving breakfast during this festive season as a token of appreciation on December 19, 2023. GATeS organization, along with the Indian community, made a significant contribution to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department, presenting a $1000 donation.

Alongside this gesture, GATeS hosted a breakfast for nearly 75 Police officers including administrative staff from the Forsyth Police Department. The Sheriff, Ron Freeman, commended GATeS for their proactive social initiatives, emphasizing their impact on fostering goodwill within the community and helping reduce unwanted crime in the community.

Sheriff Ron Freeman highlighted the noteworthy correlation between the Indian community’s social engagement emphasizing the positive impact of our community’s involvement on public safety. He acknowledged GATeS commendable efforts and expressed his gratitude for the breakfast and the generous donation.

Freeman emphasized the importance of GATeS service-oriented mindset in encouraging the police department for not only protecting the often-targeted Indian community, but also ensuring swift justice against any threat to it. Moreover, Sheriff Freeman expressed eagerness for future collaborations between GATeS and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department.

He emphasized the potential for joint efforts to address pockets of poverty within the neighborhood, aiming to spread the spirit of generosity and kindness where it’s needed the most. Discussions during the event identified opportunities for youth volunteering, laying the groundwork for future collaborations that promise community growth and support.

Mr. Janardhan Pannela, President, on behalf of GATeS and all the community members in Forsyth county thanked the Forsyth County Sheriff’s department and expressed gratitude towards the support and dedication to our communities. He also said that we value your service and will always remember your tireless efforts keeping our communities safe and secure.

This event marked a successful beginning for future collaborations between GATeS and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department, setting the stage for endeavors aimed at reaching every corner of the community in need of assistance and support.
