Austere grandeur seen at TAMA Diwali in Alpharetta, Georgia

In America, national organizations hold a convention in one of the cities across, for 3 days once every 2 years. Generally, more than 15 thousand attend from various states. Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) Divya Diwali was a similar, scaled down convention. TAMA Divya Deepavali, along with associated events, was held in a grand manner on November 11 at Denmark High School, attracting over 3,000 people.

Magnificent Mani Sharma Musical Night, Art Competitions for Kids, Enchanting Dramas, Dances, Songs, Choreographies, Jabardasth Show, Medleys, Dance Dramas, Fashion Show, Free Mehandi, Celebrity Meet & Greet, Adults amicability, Children enjoyment, 2024 New Team Introduction, Youth Enthusiasm, 2023 Volunteer Awards, Inauguration of TAMA Annual Souvenir (Magazine), Cinema Settings style huge Digital Screen, Decoration, Sound Clarity, Musical Instruments, Snacks, Tea, Delicious Dinner and many more were part of the event.

Year long TAMA’s weekly free clinic and Manabadi’s Telugu classes are always at the helm. This is TAMA’s 26th event in 2023. In the coming days, Discovery Flight (first flight flying, doing again on Public interest), Chess, Youth program, Christmas and many more are going to happen. Art competitions for children were conducted in collaboration with Little Star Art Studio’s Hema Thiru. More than 100 children impressed everyone with their Art skills on Deepavali theme. Prizes were given to the top 3 winners in each group. As part of Meet & Greet, many took photos with celebrities. Cultural programs kicked off in style, with Culture Secretary Tiru Chillapalli’s welcome note.

Dasavataram, Ramayana Shabdam dance dramas, Bhuvana Vijaya drama, traditional fashion show and fusion dance were extraordinary. Jabardast Naveen’s show with locals was entertaining. Srinivas Rayapureddy gari 2023 memorial best Volunteer Award was given to Mahesh Koppu for his exemplary services. Dr. Srihari Malimpati’s best Clinic Volunteer award was presented to Chiranjeevi Srinija Pisapati.

Anchor cinemapicha Dileep has brilliantly anchored the entire show. Mani Sharma’s Musical Night touched the pinnacle. Swarag, Vaishnavi, Pawan and Shruti sang songs in the 3-hour long concert, touching all genres. As the theater was full, many people were sitting on the floor. Regardless of age, many were dancing throughout.

Fulton County School Board Member Lilly Pozatek, Johns Creek Council Members Bob Erramilli and Dilip Tunki, who were the guests of honor, wished everyone a happy Deepavali and said, it was a pleasure to see so many people together. ATA leaders Kiran Pasham, Karunakar Asireddy, Anil Boddireddy, Sridhar, Sriram elaborated the details of the 2024 ATA Convention to be held in Atlanta.

Similarly, TANA President Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu applauded TAMA for doing versatile programs in an outstanding manner. Sponsors spoke about their association with TAMA and expressed their willingness to continue their cooperation in future. President Sairam Karumanchi conveyed his heartfelt thanks to all of them and said, the main pillars of TAMA are you (the people), sponsors, volunteers and the TAMA team (since 1981).

Sairam also introduced 2024 President Suresh Bandaru to the gathering. Suresh introduced the new team and requested everyone’s cooperation. Chairman Subbarao Maddali elaborated on Weekly Free Clinic, Seminars and various TAMA programs. Some of the food items were brought from India.
