Grand Ganesh Utsav Celebrations Mark Fourth Annual Festivities at Centre Place in Edison, New Jersey

Edison, New Jersey: The Centre Place at Edison community is celebrating its 4th annual Ganesh Utsav from September 14th through September 19th, 2026, with great devotion, cultural spirit, and community participation.

The celebrations commenced on September 14 with the traditional Ganesh Sthapana and Pooja. Edison Mayor Sam Joshi attended the opening-day celebrations as a special guest. He offered prayers to Lord Ganesha and joined members of the Centre Place at Edison community in the festivities. His presence made the opening celebration even more special for the residents.

One of the major highlights of this year’s celebration is the beautiful Indian village-themed decoration, thoughtfully created by community volunteers. The setting reflects the charm of a traditional Indian village while showcasing India’s rich culture and heritage.

Throughout the six-day celebration, residents and families are participating in Ganesh Pooja and Aarti, Ganesh Abhishekam, devotional singing by children, Ganesh Bhajans by residents, dance and fancy-dress performances, Dhol Tasha, kids’ activities, and a colorful Ganesh procession.

A special emphasis has been placed on involving children and younger generations, providing them with an opportunity to experience Indian traditions and understand the cultural and spiritual significance of Ganesh Chaturthi. The celebration also serves as a wonderful platform to strengthen unity, friendship, and togetherness among the families of Centre Place at Edison.

The Ganesh Chaturthi Organizing Committee expressed its heartfelt appreciation to all the Centre Place at Edison families, volunteers, children, performers, and supporters who have contributed their time, creativity, and dedication to making the celebration memorable.

The six-day festivities will conclude on September 19 with Dhol Tasha, kids’ activities, a vibrant procession, and Ganesh Visarjan, as the community comes together to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha with prayers for peace, happiness, prosperity, and his return next year.
