Telugu Association of North America ‘TANA’ celebrated Sankranthi festival in a grand scale on January 29th. The virtual celebrations kicked off with anchor Prasanna welcoming the audience and TANA leadership. Following the tradition, the event started with a Ganesha prayer by Krishnakanth Katakota. A classical dance by Pada Jhari Kuchipudi Kala Kshetram students, choreographed by Aruna Kotapati, was followed in a series of cultural programs.
Encouraging the local talent and culture, Paatasala kids explained the Sankranthi festival and its significance in Telugu and the event is coordinated by Paatasala teacher Rajitha Adimulam. Sunil Koganti, Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator, thanked the TANA leadership, Harrisburg & Philadelphia teams for their unconditional support and thanked sponsors Alliance Home Mortgage, Spruce Infotech, and TANA Paatasala.
TANA President Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu, Cultural Coordinator Sirisha Tunuguntla addressed the audience and appreciated the Mid-Atlantic team, and thanked TANA Harrisburg team for executing this event flawlessly. Satish Chundru, TANA Foundation Libraries Coordinator along with Harrisburg City Coordinator Venkat Chimmili thanked the current and past TANA leadership for their support and for making this event a grand success.
Tollywood singers Satya Yamini and Raghuram’s Live Music Show was the highlight of the day. Both the singers captivated the audience with their mesmerizing singing along with energetic anchoring by Prasanna. The singers thanked TANA leadership and the Mid-Atlantic team for the opportunity.
