ATA Women’s Day reiterated the importance of women’s inclusion in every sector

American Telugu Association (ATA) celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) virtually on March 9th, 2024. This event comprised of nine amazing guest speakers from the USA and India talking about Inspire Inclusion, this year’s IWD theme.

Guest speakers include Madhavi Latha Kompella, Chairperson Lathama Foundation, Chairperson Lopamudra Charitable Trust; Madhu Bommineni, ATA President; Ramaa Raavi, Storyteller; Saina Nehwal, Indian Professional Badminton player; Dr. Nita Sachan, VC Investor; Revathi Subramanian, Global Managing Director, Data & AI at Accenture; Megha Ganne, American Amateur Golfer; and Madhurima Boyapati Paturi, Paturi Law.

The speakers reiterated the importance of women’s inclusion in every sector and accelerate the progress. On behalf of Women’s Day, all the speakers urged everyone to be united and to transform challenges into opportunities to shape a better future for all.

The program was moderated by Dr. Praveena Ambati, ATA Women’s Committee Chair; Anupuma Subbagari, ATA Women’s Committee Co-Chair; Mallika Reddy Dumpala Women’s Convention Committee Chair; and Sharada Singireddy, Board of Trustee member.

American Telugu Association (ATA) International Women’s Day program was telecasted through ATA Facebook live, ATA YouTube live and was viewed by more than 650 viewers. All the women had great time reconnecting wit the great female personalities.
