GRTA Grand Bathukamma Celebrations

Greater Richmond Telugu Association (GRTA) celebrated Bathukamma festival representing the cultural spirit of Telangana and symbolizing the patron Goddess of womanhood. Event was held on October 6th at Hindu center of Virginia.

Highlight of this year Batukamma celebrations was young boys Kolaatam. Gowri puja was performed traditionally. All women and girls who came with festive dressed sarees performed Bathukamma dance around Bathukammas. Crowd was beyond the expectations for this free event. Lunch was served for all the attendees.
