Jr. Saybrook Dons Crowned Back-to-Back Community Cricket League U13 Champions

Jr. Saybrook Dons have secured the Community Cricket League (CCL) U13 Championship for the second consecutive year, following an unbeaten 2026 campaign. The Dons won all four of their matches, including two league victories, a thrilling four-run semifinal win, and an impressive eight-wicket victory in the championship final.

In the final, the team restricted Come to Chutneys Blasters Elite Stars to 36/8 before successfully chasing the target in just 6.5 overs. Several players delivered outstanding performances throughout the tournament. Pratham Reddy Karre led the tournament with eight wickets and 28 runs, while Sujan Chilukuri took six wickets.

Samarth Raju scored 47 runs, including unbeaten knocks of 21 in the semifinal and 16 in the final. Wicketkeeper Akshat Kumar and fielder Rohan Sriraj Polukonda also made significant contributions. Manager Suresh Karothu and coaches Raju Nataraj and Kamalesh Patel guided the young players through focused practices, fielding drills, bowling plans and match preparation.

Strong support from parents and the Saybrook community played an important role in the team’s success. With CCL U13 titles in 2025 and 2026, the Jr. Saybrook Dons have established a remarkable back-to-back championship record while inspiring greater youth cricket participation in the community.
