IFA celebrates Holi with fervor & fun in Atlanta

Indian Friends of Atlanta (IFA) organized a spectacular Holi – Festival of Colors on Saturday March 19th, 2022, at Yugal Kunj – Radha Krishna Temple, Duluth. More than 2000 enthusiastic crowd thronged the venue to enjoy the celebrations. Perfect Atlanta spring weather suited well for the event and families enjoyed splashing colors and meeting each other in person.

Group of DJs from DJ VJ (Vai Vij) rocked the event with their electrifying music and crowd was dancing to their tunes throughout the event. Our photographers from KK PIX were busy capturing the great moments. Revelers got ecstatic with high energy dance performances from Shiv’s Institute of Dance, Garima Dance Academy, Baljeet Kaur’s Group, Swetha Pakala’s Group and Swetha Shetty’s Group.

Master Chefs from Yugal Kunj provided delicious food with mouthwatering menu that included Samosa, Chat, Chole Batura and for desserts we had traditional Indian sweets Jalebi and Gujiya. Patel Brothers helped us with Organic Holi colors which were safe to the environment and kids. This Holi event organized by IFA reiterates the organization’s vision of bringing the Indian Community together. This was the first outdoor event from IFA after the Covid-19 and IFA team with the help of dedicated volunteers rallied together to pull off a great event with near flawless execution.

IFA founding member and former Chairman Sunil Savili announced Kishan Tallapally as President and Sanjeev Akula as Vice President for IFA 2022. Sunil Savili, past IFA President Lakshmi Thesam and Kishan Tallapally said that they were overwhelmed by the support & participation from the community and want to thank each one who participated in the event, they also provided the updates on IFA events planned for next few months. They have thanked Patel Brothers for providing organic colors and Yugal Kunj for providing delicious food. For any community organization sponsors are of paramount importance, Kishan Tallapally thanked sponsors Patel Brothers, Suvidha International Market, 27th Investments, Rapid IT, Unicorn Technologies, Orpine. IFA Team members Sunil Savili, Sreekanth Uppala, Srinivas Peddi, Sairam Pamulapati, Shyam Mallavarapu, Kiran Gogineni, Kishan Tallapally, Sanjeev Akula, Raghuveer Gadipalli, Sandeep Reddy Gundla, Lakshmi Thesam, Hetal Mehta, Deepa Sharma, Rakesh Khanna, Giri Kotagiri, Niranjan Podduturi, Kranti Chennupati and Jamaluddin Masthakhan worked diligently to plan and execute this event and make it successful.
