Frederick, Maryland: ATA Brings Pickleball Enthusiasts Together with 55 Teams and 110 Players

American Telugu Associations Pickleball Tournament in Maryland was successfully held on Saturday, May 30, in Frederick, Maryland, bringing together pickleball enthusiasts from across the region for a day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and spirited competition.

The tournament witnessed an outstanding turnout, with approximately 110 participants representing 55 teams competing across Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced skill divisions. The event featured thrilling matches, exceptional sportsmanship, and an energetic atmosphere that highlighted the growing popularity within the community.

Organizers expressed their delight at the overwhelming participation and enthusiasm displayed throughout the day. Beyond the competition, the tournament served as a platform for community bonding, fostering new friendships and strengthening connections among players and families alike.

Winners in various categories were awarded cash prizes for their outstanding performances. ATA’s 19th Conference & Youth Convention Convener Sridhar Banala, along with Sudhir Damidi, Venkata Yarram, Vasudeva Talla, and Kotla Tippareddy, whose commitment and coordination, together with the support of local team members, helped make the tournament a grand success.

Sridhar Banala quoted that the tournament not only celebrated athletic excellence but also reinforced ATA’s commitment to community engagement and requested one and all to take part in huge numbers for the upcoming ATA’s 19th Conference and Youth convention will be held in Baltimore from July 31-Aug 2nd.
