Omaha, Nebraska — The Telugu Samiti of Nebraska (TSN) is set to host its much-anticipated Ugadhi celebrations on April 25 at Westside Middle School, promising one of the largest and most vibrant cultural gatherings in the region.

Marking the Telugu New Year, this year’s Ugadhi event is being organized on a grand scale, featuring participation from over 40 teams in a wide array of cultural programs. Attendees can expect a rich showcase of music, dance, and traditional performances that highlight the spirit and diversity of Telugu culture.

In addition to cultural festivities, TSN recently conducted a series of sports tournaments, drawing close to 200 participants across multiple disciplines, including badminton, tennis, basketball, chess, pickleball, and carroms. Winners from these competitions will be honored with medals during the main event, adding to the excitement of the celebration.

A special highlight this year is the introduction of Lifetime Achievement Awards, an initiative being launched for the first time in TSN’s history. These prestigious awards will recognize outstanding contributions in two categories: Leadership & Community Impact and Distinguished Service to the Community, celebrating individuals who have made lasting contributions to society.

The evening will also feature live musical performances by renowned singers Anjana Sowmya and Tarun Donipati, offering an enriching musical experience for attendees. Adding further depth to the program, keynote speaker Chundru Srinivas will be traveling from Denver to share his insights and inspire the audience with his thought-provoking address.

Visitors can also explore a variety of vendor stalls set up at the venue, offering shopping opportunities along with a range of authentic Indian delicacies, making it a complete cultural and culinary experience. The TSN Executive Committee has been working tirelessly to ensure a seamless and memorable event, focusing on delivering a high-quality experience for all attendees.
