Cumming, Atlanta: The Greater Atlanta Telangana Society (GATeS), a respected community organization dedicated to promoting service, culture, and civic values, proudly organized a youth-led “Adopt-a-Road” cleanup drive on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

This impactful initiative was part of Greater Atlanta Telangana Society (GATeS) ongoing mission to nurture civic responsibility and environmental awareness among our youth. The cleanup took place along a 2-mile stretch between Old Atlanta Road and Buford Highway in Cumming, Georgia.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from local youth, families, and community volunteers — all united by a shared goal of giving back and keeping our neighborhoods clean and beautiful. Volunteers gathered at 9:00 AM on a bright Sunday morning, full of energy and community spirit.

After check-in and safety briefings, participants formed teams to collect and properly dispose of litter along the adopted roadway. The young volunteers of Greater Atlanta Telangana Society (GATeS) worked diligently for over two hours, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and dedication to civic service.

Every student received a certificate of appreciation and earned volunteer service hours in recognition of their contributions. A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated students, supportive families, passionate volunteers, and the Greater Atlanta Telangana Society (GATeS) Team for guidance and participation.

Your collective efforts brought the Greater Atlanta Telangana Society (GATeS) mission to life and made a meaningful impact on our community. This initiative was more than just a cleanup — it was a day of learning, leadership, and civic pride. Together, we continue to build a stronger, cleaner, and more connected community.
