GRADA Blood Drive garnered overwhelming community participation in Dallas, Texas

Irving, Texas: Greater Rayalaseema Association of Dallas Area (GRADA) in collaboration with Carter Blood Care organized a blood donation drive on April 6th, 2024 that garnered overwhelming community support and participation. The event served as a vital platform for residents of Dallas and surrounding areas to contribute to the noble cause of saving lives through blood donation.

Blood drives play a crucial role in ensuring a steady and sufficient supply of blood for patients in need. From individuals undergoing surgery to those battling life-threatening illnesses or injuries, the need for blood is constant and often urgent.

According to the American Red Cross, someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds, highlighting the continuous demand for blood donations. We want to take a moment to say a massive thank you to everyone who came out and rolled up their sleeves.

Your generosity and kindness mean more than words can say. Every drop of blood you gave could be the key to someone’s recovery. You’re our community heroes. GRADA would like to express its sincere appreciation to the coordinators Uma Maheshwar Reddy Gorrepati, Shiva Valluru, Srikanth Dontha, Satish Seeram and volunteers.

They all lent their time, energy, and expertise to make the blood drive possible. Your commitment to service and your passion for making a difference have not gone unnoticed. From setting up the venue to welcoming donors with a smile, they were absolute stars.
