ATA’s 1st ever women’s cricket tournament gets applauds in Nashville, Tennessee

As part of the 2023 International Women’s Day celebrations, ATA Nashville team successfully hosted the first-ever women’s short cricket tournament in Nashville, Tennessee on April 8th and 9th near India Bazaar. The event witnessed the participation of 9 teams and around 300 enthusiastic spectators, making it a grand success.

The coordination of the event was carried out by ATA Nashville team members including Krish Nukala and Sairam Rachakonda, who are ATA Regional Coordinators, along with other volunteers such as Bharadwaj Samala, Sai Vardhan Reddy Boda, Anusha Vangala, Anand Ramkumar, Digvijay Vangala, Prashanthi Rachakonda, Vamshi Koripelly, Rakesh Bekkam, and more.

The leadership of Ramakrishna Reddy Ala (Secretary of ATA), Kishore Reddy Guduru (ATA Trustee), Susheel Chanda (Education Committee Chair), and Narendar Reddy Nookala (Regional Advisor) played a crucial role in organizing the event.

At the conclusion of the event, ATA presented trophies to the winning team, Nashville Risers, the runner-up team, Power Girls, and the second runner-up team, TNMM. Additionally, participant medals were awarded to every team member to recognize and encourage women’s passion and commitment to the sport.

ATA Nashville team expressed their gratitude to the ATA Executive team and Board of Trustees for providing this wonderful opportunity to serve the community. They also appreciate the support from the community for the event and extended thanks to India Bazaar and Chai Samosa restaurant for their sponsorship.
