Toronto, Canada Telugu Community elects new committee for 2023 – TCAGT

Canada, Toronto: A new body has been unanimously elected for Telugu Cultural Association of Greater Toronto (TCAGT) at its annual general body meeting (AGM) held in Brampton at South Fletchers Sportsplex, Multipurpose Room 1, 500 Ray Lawson Blvd, Brampton, ON L6X 5B3.

Secretary Sivaprasad Yellala called the AGM to order and welcomed the guests. President Devi Chowdhary provided the report to the annual general body meeting on the yearlong virtual and in-person events that attracted Telugu Community in Greater Toronto Area. She appreciated the current executive members, trustees and sponsors for their collaborative efforts in bringing innovative ideas to finish the year very strong despite the prevailing COVID-19 crisis and lock down conditions in Greater Toronto Area.

Secretary Siva Yellala presented 2019 AGM meeting minutes for approval, and it was first approved by Rao Vajha and seconded by Kanakadurga and the motion was carried out. Secretary Siva Yellala presented 2020 EC and Election meeting minutes that was conducted online. The motion was put forward for the AGM approval. It was first approved by Anitha Bezawada and seconded by Priya Polavarapu. The motion was carried out.

President Devi Chowdhary presented years 2019, 2020, and 2021 final accounts and the secretary put motion forward for AGM approval. It was approved first by Pravalika Koona and seconded by Teja Vajha. President Devi Chowdhary presented 2022 Interim Accounts. Board of trustees Chairman Koteswara Rao Polavarapu presented trustees report and provided the status of the trust accounts and Balances.

The election officer Purnachandra Rao Vajha has conducted the elections and declared the following executive committee elected unanimously for the year 2023 and the board of trustees for year 2023-2024.

Madhav Bezawada – Youth Director
Sailesh Polavarapu – Youth Director

Board of Trustees for 2023 -2024:-

Devi Chowdhary – Truste
Priya Polavarapu – Trustee

The present executive committee and trustees thanked the election officer Purnachandra Rao Vajha for conducting the TCAGT elections. The elected executive committee and trustees presented their views to further strengthen the Telugu Cultural Association of Greater Toronto.

They all thanked the members for this opportunity to serve the Telugu Community for the upcoming year(s). Executive Committee provided snacks and tea to all the AGM attendees. President Devi Chowdhary, Secretary Sivaprasad Yellala congratulated the newly elected dynamic team. Finally, secretary called the annual general meeting to the adjournment.
