Cumming, Atlanta, Georgia: The Bellehurst community in Cumming, Georgia, came alive with devotion, cultural celebrations, and festive spirit as the community celebrated its 5th Annual Ganesh Chaturthi Festival with great enthusiasm and participation.

The celebrations began on Monday, September 14, with daily Puja and worship dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Residents and families came together each day to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha, followed by delicious potluck meals that added to the sense of community and togetherness.

The festival reached a vibrant high point with cultural programs and special Puja celebrations, creating a joyful and spiritual atmosphere throughout the community. The beautifully decorated venue, traditional festivities, and colorful decorations added to the festive ambiance.

Around 120 families, including women, children, and men of all ages, participated in the celebrations. Dressed in beautiful Indian traditional attire, community members gathered with devotion and enthusiasm to offer prayers to Lord Ganesha and celebrate the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the spirit of “Unity in Diversity.” Organizers and participating families representing different regions of India—including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and North India—came together to organize and celebrate the festival.

The gathering showcased India’s rich cultural diversity while demonstrating the strong bonds of friendship and community among residents. The potluck meals were another special attraction, with families bringing a variety of homemade Indian dishes.

The delicious food from Desi District Restaurant on Saturday, cultural performances, devotional activities, and warm fellowship made the celebrations memorable for everyone. Community members expressed their gratitude to all the organizers, volunteers, families, and participants who contributed their time and efforts to make the festival a success.

The community collectively thanked everyone for helping continue this cherished tradition for five consecutive years. The 5th Annual Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Bellehurst once again demonstrated how festivals can bring people together beyond regional and cultural differences, strengthening community bonds while preserving Indian traditions and values in the United States.
