The Telugu Association of Greater Delaware Valley (TAGDV) successfully completed its Ugadi Cultural competitions on April 20th at Bharatiya Temple, located at 1612 County Line Road, Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. The competitions encompassed a wide range of categories catering to all age groups.
These included Classical and Non-Classical Singing and Dance, both in solo and group formats for Sub-Juniors, Juniors, Seniors, and Adults. Despite an overwhelming response from participants, TAGDV had to streamline proceedings due to operational and logistical constraints. A total of 86 passionate students participated in the event.
TAGDV President Mujeebur Rehman extended a warm welcome and felicilated to esteemed judges Sri Ravi Kamarasu garu, Guru Smt. Annapoorna Chaganti garu, Guru Smt. Sree Sudha Viswanath garu, Guru Smt. Swapna Sreedharan garu, Guru Smt. Bharati Ashok garu, Guru Sri Srinivas Chaganti garu and Sindhu Budhavarapu, who assessed the performances of the participants.
The meticulous planning and execution of the cultural competitions were spearheaded by TAGDV’s Cultural team of Suresh Bondugula, Ramana Rakothu, and Siv Annatuni. And EC, Raju Kakkerla and Sai Sudarshan are present and helped out the execution.
A dedicated volunteer team comprising Ravi Indrakanti, Apparao Mallipudi, Mallareddy Valugubelly, Vikram Arjula and Suresh Yalamarthy helped the event go successful. The event was expertly hosted by Neelaveni Kandukuri and Swetha Kommoji.
In addition to competitions, TAGDV’s Youth committee, led by chair Sai Kothapally and co-chair Yuktha organized a cookie stall to raise awareness about their initiatives and sold cookies to raise funds for charity. TAGDV past presidents Harnath Doddapaneni garu and Hari Bungatavula garu graced the event and extended greetings to kids, parents, judges and TAGDV EC for their efforts.
Hareesh Annabathina, the secretary of TAGDV expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks, acknowledging Bharatiya Temple for providing the event space and commending the TAGDV’s executive committee and volunteer team for their unwavering dedication in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.
