A child born in a poor family has only a single digit percent chance of getting higher education, but the odds are higher two digit percent for a child in a high income family. This is true in most of the countries except that the numbers might be little different. One solution to bump up the percentage of these numbers is to support the needy low income students at every step of the way so that they won’t stumble on the path to higher education.
Knowing this very well, Ravi Potluri, Chairman of Kurnool NRI Foundation has been supporting the needy students for years. One in many such instances took place in Kurnool on Friday the February 11th 2022. Mr. Potluri donated eighty thousand rupees to four students in need, each twenty thousand rupees towards their education. This service event was organized with the support from Telugu Association of North America’s ‘TANA Foundation Aadarana’ program.
The students that received the donation, P Nandini Intermediate 2nd year, K Oliviya 10th class, P Shivansh 10th class and K Sylvia 8th class conveyed their gratitude to TANA, especially Mr. Potluri who has been of great help in these tough pandemic times. Kurnool CID Police Inspector Prabhakar Degala and Kurnool NRI Foundation member Venkat Gadwal handed over the checks to students in Kurnool.
