Strong women aren’t simply born. Women are forged through the challenges of life. With each challenge they grow mentally and emotionally moving forward with head held high and strength that cannot be denied. Women who have been through the storm and survived are warriors. Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong, it’s about changing the way the world perceives their strength. “Together We Rise – Together we grow, let us hold hands and lift each other” as it speaks of the importance of ally ship, collaboration and the adage that “rising tides lift all boats”.

Women Empowerment Telugu Association WETA has celebrated the International women’s day on March 26th, 2022 virtual event celebrating the cultural, social and political achievements of Telugu women in particular. Here is our mission and we strive as strong team of 22 women to achieve the goals and help the needy women in the society in different ways. WETA was established in 2018 and launched in 2019 to create a platform for women to uplift other women specially to empower them. WETA will work for the welfare and prosperity of women and girl child.

WETA aims to achieve this through different activities:
. By contributing to the health, education, and welfare of girls, women, and elderly.
. By creating self-employment opportunities for economically backward families so that they can support their basic needs.
. By providing a platform where a woman can hone her skills and grow professionally while taking care of her family.
. By motivating women to face the society with self-confidence.
. By encouraging women to chase their dreams without the fear of social barriers.
. By working with local authorities to develop policies and schemes that protect girl child and give young girls a safe place to live in.
