Telugu Association of Indiana (TAI) organized a volunteer appreciation dinner on October 29th 2022. Around 350 volunteers, sponsors, and donors attended this banquet dinner event. Lot of activities were organized including recognizing and sharing the impact of volunteers on TAI.

Trophies were given to few of the contributors. Above all, TAI Board decided to open up the organization membership through the hours of effort contributed by volunteers. Volunteers are made to be part of the organization’s decision making body in deciding their future leadership while enjoying the benefits of being a member.

Usually, any membership for an organization is bought with money, whereas there are no other means of membership in TAI other than volunteering to support the community. Even the leadership positions are elected from those who contribute their time and effort to the organization through volunteering only.

This is something every organization should promote to foster a sense of community among all its members and feel accountable for each and every decision made for the community at large. TAI President clearly stated that volunteers are first for TAI, without whom the organization does not exist today.

TAI believes every organization fosters a sense of community among all its members. Few dances were performed to entertain the attendees. Everyone enjoyed the evening with great good. TAI president Mar Reddy Dondeti appreciated all the sponsors, donors, and volunteers for their continuous support.
