US government led by the president Joe Biden conveys good news to H1B visa holders in the United States. This is a big relief for Indian tech workers who had to travel outside US preferably to home country, in the past, to get H1B visa stamped in the passport.

The news came out on June 22, 2023 stating that Joe Biden administration drops travel abroad requirement for skilled workers renewing H-1B visas. The same was conveyed by the Indian prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi in Washington during his visit.

This pilot project will start with a small group of select workers on H1B visa without travelling abroad. More details are yet to be released by US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
