Grace Cancer Foundation & TANA strives for awareness with 5K walk/run

October being the Cancer awareness month, Grace Cancer Foundation in association with Telugu Association of North America (TANA) Foundation successfully organized 5K walk/run on October 9th 2022. This walk/run was primarily to educate and bring awareness in the community towards cancer disease.

Despite the cold weather on a Sunday morning, more than 150 people gathered for this great charity walk/run at Alvin Williams Park with excellent trail next to water front in Sewaren, New Jersey. All the participants believed in running that extra mile to gift a smile for the needy. This event was supported by Movers.com.

Vidya Garapati from Grace Cancer Foundation thanked TANA President Mr. Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu, TANA Foundation Chairman Mr. Venkata Ramana Yarlagadda, title sponsor SmartIMS CEO Mr. Amar Reddy, and famous Tollywood music director Mr. RP Patnaik for attending and supporting this community walk/run.

Mr. Ganga Sunkara from Global Grace Health, Satish Meka, Raja Kasukurthi, Ravi Potluri and other volunteers helped running this mega event smoothly. Grace Cancer Foundation volunteers and organizing team Mr. Niranjan Raj, Mr. Praveen Ummadi, Dr. Prameela Rani and GCF founder Dr. Chinnababu Sunkavalli spent several days planning for this successful 5K walk/run.

Volunteers from TANA including Sreenivas Oruganti, Vamsi Vasireddy, Sreenath Konanki, Sudheer Narepalepu, Rama Krishna Vasireddy, Satish Tummala, Kiran Kothapalli, Madhu Rachakulla, Bindu Yalamanchili, Anuradha Reddy, Prasad Kunisetty, Vilas Jambula, Druva Chowdary Nagandla, Radha Krishna Nallamala, Varma Jampana (GGH), and Srinivas Bharthavarapu supported the event wholeheartedly.
