on

As part of continued community outreach and community service initiatives, Telugu Association of North America (TANA) Northern California team conducted a ‘Bone Marrow Drive’ in Milpitas, California, on August 13th. This is to register more and more willing bone marrow donors to help save the lives of few currently active (bone marrow donor seeking) blood cancer patients, especially 13 years old Eva and 29 years old Rahul.

The drive was led by TANA Northern California Regional Representative Ram Thota with the help of several TANA volunteers, along with volunteers from BeTheMatch Organization and with the extended help from AIA Team. There were 100’s of attendees who were given the opportunity to learn about the bone marrow registration and its importance in Asian/Indian Community and several of them registered their names into the bone marrow donor registry.

Ram Thota, TANA Regional Representative, Northern California, thanked all the bone marrow registrants, attendees, AIA, TANA leadership, and TANA & BeTheMatch volunteers for their extended support and all the work in making this bone marrow drive a grand success.
