The Tampa chapter of the Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) celebrated International Yoga Day on June 23 with an online yoga session in collaboration with Sakthi Yogalaya – Tampa. The event was a resounding success, attracting approximately 100 participants, including both kids and adults.
These virtual zoom sessions were led by the renowned yoga teacher Kavitha Illayaraja, the director of Sakthi Yogalaya and a certified yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. The event featured a one-hour kids’ yoga session followed by a one-hour adults’ session.
Esteemed TTA President Mr. Vamshi Reddy Kancharakuntla attended the session, alongside Executive Vice President LN Reddy, adding significant importance to the event. The TTA Tampa chapter, led by BOD Narendar Metuku and RVPs Dileep Vasa and Raghu Alugubelli, played a crucial role in organizing the event.
In his speech, TTA President Vamshi Reddy Kancharakuntla emphasized the importance of yoga for both physical and mental health for kids and adults. He highlighted how regular practice can lead to improved well-being and a balanced lifestyle.
Special recognition was given to Mr. Pailla Malla Reddy, the founder of TTA, as well as to Advisory Council Chair Vijayapal Reddy Garu, Co-chair Mohan Patalolla, and Member Bharath Mandadi for their dedication and leadership in bringing the community together.
The event underscored Telangana American Telugu Association TTA’s commitment to promoting health, wellness, and community spirit through yoga, reflecting the organization’s broader mission of preserving and perpetuating Telangana culture in North America.
