Atlanta, Georgia:The United States Hindu Alliance (USHA) announced the launch of Vande Bharatam Dinner at various cities across the United States, starting from Atlanta, Georgia. The dinner events will feature talks by prominent leaders from the US and shed light on emerging India and changing Hindu society worldwide.

The dinner events in Atlanta and other cities are aimed at spreading awareness, understanding, and mutual respect. India is a friend of the United States and the world. It is the largest democracy, having concluded the biggest electoral exercise in human history. Unlike many other countries, the transfer of power has always been peaceful and uncontested in India. In recent years, India has demonstrated its ability to care for the world during Covid, surge ahead in space exploration, lift millions from poverty and reform its erstwhile Socialist economy.

Instead of admiring and celebrating India and Hindus, there is a surge in negative propaganda. False narratives are a matter of serious concern for all Americans, especially members of the Hindu communities scattered across our nation. Misinformation is being disseminated through books, events, videos, movies, social media platforms, as well as the print and electronic media. “We want to present the truth about ourselves so that the world understands us,” Sudhir Agarwal, Chair for Vande Bharatam Dinner in Atlanta, said.

The initiative will be launched in Atlanta at the Ashiana Banquet Hall, Global Mall, on June 30, 2024, in the presence of a large number of local dignitaries. Admission is by invitation only. For more information, please contact the USHA office at [email protected] or (678) 969-0054.

USHA is a national grassroots advocacy organization of Hindus in America to protect and promote the interests of Hindus worldwide. It strives to foster good relations with all sections of American society through a variety of projects, events and initiatives. For more information, visit the USHA website at www.ushaonline.org
