TTA celebrated Bonalu & Alai-Balai with over 2000 attendees in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) Charlotte Chapter successfully organized a grand celebration of Telangana’s traditional festival – Bonalu and Alai-Balai – under the inspiring leadership of our dynamic TTA President, Naveen Reddy Mallipeddi garu.

With over 2,000 attendees, the event brought together the entire Charlotte Telugu community under one roof, creating an unforgettable and vibrant cultural experience. As TTA Charlotte gears up to host the TTA Mega Convention (July 17-19, 2026), this event stands as a proud testament to the chapter’s organizational excellence and growing community spirit.

President Naveen Reddy Mallipeddi garu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to TTA Founder Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy garu, AC Chair Dr. Vijayapal Reddy garu, AC Co-Chair Dr. Mohan Reddy Patalolla garu, AC Members Bharath Madadi garu and Srini Anugu garu, as well as Past President Vamshi Reddy Kancharkuntla garu and entire EC and BOD for their unwavering support and encouragement.

A special appreciation goes to Kavitha Gundeti, who led the Bonalu celebrations with dedication and excellence. Throughout the event, key supporters such as Ankush Veerreddy, Varun Reddy Tummalapally, Anusha Ankathi and Navya Reddy Karnati were always available and instrumental in ensuring its success.

The event would not have been possible without the full-day efforts and contributions of these dedicated team members: Naren Deverapalli, Mahesh Gundeti, Pallavi Reddy Ramidi, Shirisha Chintakuntla, Mahi Vasireddy, Mahathi Gorasa, Nikitha Reddy Tummalapally, Ravi Vasireddy, Ramesh Chintakuntla, Laxmikanth Ramidi, Ramesh Nakka, Dilip Syasani, Hari Shatgopam, Srinivas Bandari, Praveen Reddy and Raghavendra Chamala.

A big thank you to Achyuta Reddy Nalabolu and his amazing cooking team – including young volunteers – who ensured everyone was well-fed and energized throughout the day.
