Colorful, fun & relaxing family picnic & Holi event: Telangana Association of Greater San Antonio

Telangana Association of Greater San Antonio (TAGSA) executive committee under the leadership of Mr. Smaran Pakala, President, organized this year’s Holi and Vanabhojanalu event on March 27th at Northrup Park Pavilion in Boerne, Texas. It is typically a community engagement event where the entire Telangana community comes together in organizing the event and having fun.

Food is cooked onsite and various games and fun activities are organized. New to this year, TAGSA requested the community to participate in the Biryani Competition and several of them came forward to prepare different varieties of the biryanis to share with the rest of the community. Prizes awarded to 1st , 2nd and 3rd place winners and everyone participated in the competition also received some reward.

Ladies and kids enjoyed playing musical chairs and dancing to the latest movie songs. TAGSA also celebrated the Holi festival with vibrant colors and water. The event was wrapped with pakora and special tea in the evening. Overall the event is attended by more than 300+ community members which is huge compared to any previous years. Thanks to TAGSA Executive Committee and Community volunteers, the event was a grand success.

Telangana Association of Greater San Antonio (TAGSA) is a registered Non-profit organization that serves the Telangana community in and around San Antonio, TX and also promotes Telangana Culture and events in the community. We perform annually 3 important events: Telangana Formation Day in June, Bathukamma Event in September and October and Telangana Holi and Vanabhojanalu event in March.
