Atlanta: Flu vaccination drive by TANA & TAMA

Winter is always a challenging season when it comes to health, where there are more chances of getting various types of Flu. Vaccination will help keep hospitals from being overwhelmed by flu patients. Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) in association with Telugu Association of North America (TANA) and Walgreens provided free Flu Shots to Georgians on Sunday, November 19th at TAMA office.

It was well received and appreciated by more than 50 people of all ages. Surya Vangapandu and Mitesh Patel from Walgreens made sure to provide vaccines to everyone patiently. TAMA team has taken registrations in advance and followed government guidelines in executing the drive.

President Ravi Kalli, Chairman Sreeram Royyala, President Elect Sairam Karumanchi, Board of Directors Madhukar Yarlagadda, Praveen Boppana, TANA Southeast Regional Coordinator Venkat Meesala and youth volunteers Amitha Yarlagadda, Sreekar Rayapureddy, Jayani Karumanchi, Ashrith and Shreyas were part of making Flu Shots program successful.

TAMA team has provided snacks and beverages. TAMA has done many drives like this for several years along with many COVID vaccination drives in recent years. Sairam said they will continue doing it in coming years too and thanked everyone for making the program successful.
