TAMA D-A-Y (Dhyana, Ayurveda, Yoga): The power of ancient practices well received in Atlanta

Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta conducted TAMA D-A-Y (Dhyana, Ayurveda, Yoga) sessions on Sun, March 26th at Sharon Park Community Building, Cumming, Georgia. These ancient yet powerful and useful practices are followed by many in the contemporary world too, as they help in reducing stress, improving health and lifestyle betterment.

Probably, this is the 1st time ever in history, where Ladies & Gents exclusive Yoga, Ayurveda principles, Art of Living, Siddha Samadhi Yoga, Heartfulness and Isha Foundation sessions were organized one after the other, all at 1 place. Amruth Ayurveda – Nagesh Kasam and Magnum Opus IT – Sagar Lagisetti sponsored this need of the hour program, especially in the prevailing situations.

More than 100 people of different ages utilized this opportunity. Attendees were so glad to get introduced to these precious practices and requested TAMA to conduct more and more such sessions. President SaiRam Karumanchi welcomed everyone and provided details of the day. Chairman Subarao Maddali spoke about various TAMA initiatives and briefly explained the benefits of these sessions. Yoga trainer Sailaja Tallamraju explained the benefits of Yoga to all ladies, demonstrated Asanas and made sure they practiced.

Nagesh Kasam manifested Yoga asanas to gentlemen, which they followed and learnt. Nagesh continued and explained how to have a better and healthy lifestyle with Ayurveda. Art of Living is about living in the present and accepting people. Apurva Kalvade, Tanuja Kadam and Naresh Chalimeda spoke about the importance of breath and have shown how to do Bhastrika and meditation.

Siddha Samadhi Yoga’s motto is, being happy for no reason. Sudhakar Nalluri and Bhakthavatsala Reddy explained the essence of SSY and how it helps in day to day life. Heartfulness says wisdom is not taught, it is caught. Srinivas Allada and Kalyan Vadlamani explained how to meditate, connecting with the heart and spoke about the advantages of Heartfulness practices.

Isha Foundation is about inner Engineering and transformation. Sunitha Sheri and Jay Madireddy explained the benefits and illustrated Shambhavi kriya. Suneel Devarapalli, Sasi Daggula, Satya Nagender Guthula, Krishna Inapakuthika, Tiru Chillapalli, Srinivas Ramisetty, Raghava Tadavarthi, Anand Akkineni, Srinivas Uppu, Madhu Yarlagadda, Praveen Boppana from TAMA team helped in smooth execution.

TAMA team, along with participants felicitated all the Gurus with shawls and bouquets. Satya concluded the program by thanking all the gurus, sponsors and participants for being part of this uniquely rare program and for making it successful.
