‘Deepotsav’ depicting the Indian diaspora concluded successfully in Atlanta

‘Deepotsav’ elated celebrations in the city of Cumming concluded successfully on Saturday, December 10th. The event started with Ganesh Vandana. Women performed several dances on medleys in several Indian languages, depicting the diversity of the Indian diaspora.

About 100 ladies participated in this annual fun filled event held at Sexton hall in the city of Cumming, Georgia this year. Ladies participated in several cultural programs and games. In the women empowerment segment Dr. Madhuri Garimella spoke about women’s health.

The program’s theme music is composed by Praneeth Muzic. There was a Saree-walk, depicting sarees from different states of India. Various hilarious comedy skits like ‘the doctor’s office’, ‘the examination hall’, and the ‘Kaun Banegi Dollar Patni’.

The event director Deepa Nallur said “ladies enjoyed the witty skits and fun games. It is always good to cheer women who are usually busy with family and work life.” Many ladies were honored with sashes, awards and certificates for their participation.
