In commemoration of International Women’s Day, NRIVA’s Srujana (Women’s) Team and Seva Team have partnered to execute numerous service projects in India. These initiatives encompass providing essential supplies for pregnant women, extending support to the elderly, and distributing meals to the less fortunate. Meanwhile, NRIVA Srujana teams across North America are marking Women’s History Month with a series of events throughout March.
NRIVA teams have facilitated the following endeavors in India:–
Donations to Underprivileged Pregnant Women: Supplies including mattresses, pillows, and food were donated to underprivileged pregnant women at Penugonda Government Hospital.
Service to the Elderly: The team extended support to the elderly residing in an old age home in Anantapur.
Anna Dana Seva (Food Distribution): Food distribution initiatives were carried out in Anakapally and at Vasavi Kuteer Old Age Home in Hyderabad.
These services were conducted under the leadership of Srujana committee chair Supriya Danda and Seva Committee Chair Swamy Boggarapu and their respective teams. NRIVA Secretary team and Treasury team were instrumental in delivering these services and BOT liaisons Sunitha Rachapalli and Laxman Kaparthi always stood by these teams and provided the necessary guidance.

Women Empowerment at NRIVA
President Srinivasa Rao Pandiri highlighted NRIVA’s commitment to women’s empowerment. With over 100 women in leadership positions across the organization, NRIVA emphasizes women’s empowerment as a core value for the future. Noteworthy initiatives include the establishment of the NRIVA Women in Executive Committee, fostering collaboration and mentorship among women leaders. Furthermore, NRIVA has initiated book clubs as part of a mentor-mentee program aimed at nurturing future women leaders.
