California: Suvidha International Foundation hosted a grand Diwali celebration at the iconic Pre Rodeo Stadium in Folsom—the same venue that traditionally hosts the July 4th aerial fireworks display.
The grand Diwali celebrations event was a spectacular blend of tradition, music, and community spirit, highlighted by a “safe and sane” fireworks display that added to the festive joy without compromising safety.
Live performances from the talented Gongora music group, featuring Mr. Abdul Shaik, Mr. Srinkanth, Mrs. Priya, Mrs. Anitha, and Mrs. Madhurima, elevated the event. The emcees kept the crowd entertained, and the venue was beautifully adorned with vibrant LED decorations, providing a stunning backdrop that perfectly captured the essence of Diwali.
The festival featured musical and cultural performances, along with various non-profit and business stalls, fostering community engagement and supporting local enterprises. Food lovers were treated to a variety of mouthwatering dishes from Ruchi Restaurant and Folsom Curry Pizza.
The celebration was a harmonious blend of music, culture, and community, uniting people of all ages for a memorable experience. Folsom City Council Member Y.K. Chalamcherla attended the Diwali celebration and warmly welcomed the attendees.
In his address, he emphasized Diwali’s power to unite people, expressing his joy at seeing so many gathered for the occasion. He commended Suvidha International Foundation for hosting such a vibrant and successful event.
The Diwali celebrations in Folsom were a resounding success, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the lead organizers: Mr. Bhaskar Vempati (Founder and President of Suvidha International), Venu Acharya, Vandna Sharma, Bala Kodavatikanti, Vijay Bhaskar Jonnalagadda, Narsing, Shailesh Bhat, Padmapirya Maddy, and Avinash Maddy.

Shreya, a high school volunteer, shared her henna designs at the event, adding a beautiful touch to the celebration. Her stall drew a lot of attention, contributing to the lively cultural atmosphere and fostering a sense of community.
