Telugu Association of North America (TANA) organized a successful hiking event in Atlanta on September 26th, 2021. Charleston Park, on the banks of Lake Lanier, in Cumming is the ultimate trail for hiking. The pleasant weather with beautiful views of the lake and warm South Indian breakfast provided by TANA volunteers provided a great start for the hike.

The hike route planned by Rajesh Jampala, Murali Boddu, Anil Yalamanchili, Vinay Maddineni (Foundation trustee) and Bharath Maddineni (Joint Treasurer) and led by young volunteers Tanish Jampala, Monish Jampala, Rithik Narra, Rusheel Narra, Mohnish Maddineni and Akhil Nandyala guided the large number of participants across the 4.5 mile trail.

Venkat Meesala, TANA Southeast Regional Coordinator, led the effort in coordinating the event. The best part of the hike is the participation of people in all ages from 6 to 65 with each and everyone appreciating the effort and hospitality of all the TANA volunteers. The unanimous verdict from all the participants was appreciating TANA for this event and hoping TANA would add more events like this in the future.

Venkat conveyed special thanks to TANA President Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu, Board of Director Srinivas Lavu, Joint Treasurer Bharath Maddineni, International Coordinator Hitesh Vadlamudi, Foundation Trustees Vinay Maddineni and Kiran Gogineni for encouraging in organizing this event as part of the TANA Health and Wellness programs.
