ATA women’s day grand gala event witnessed by 600 Atlantans

American Telugu Association (ATA) Atlanta, Georgia hosted the ATA International Women’s Day event on Sunday, March 19th 2023 as part of International Women’s Day Celebrations. More than 600 people have witnessed this grand event that took place at Desana Middle School in Alpharetta.

Nearly 25 cultural programs have been performed on the stage including best dress competition. Winners have received gift cards and lot of trivia questions were posed to the audience and handed over gift cards to the winners.

Event coordinators Swetha, Sruthi Chitoory, Udaya Eturi, Anupama Subbagari, Sravani Rachakulla, Mallika Dumpala and Madhavi Dashyam supported by regional coordinators Sandeep, Ganesh Kasam and Kishan had well executed the program.

The event was packed by the audience to watch the competitive performances. Categories of competition included varying genres of classical and non-classical in Dance programs and fashion show. There were around 20 different stalls including two major food courts and were packed by the audience.

After kickstarting the program with a prayer, women coordinators have introduced ATA Atlanta Team and welcomed our guest of honor Mrs. Madhu Bommineni, ATA President and Mr. Gopi Kodali, Regional Director, Southeast.

This event was presided by Past President Karunakar Asireddy and ATA BOT’s Kiran Pasham, Anil Boddireddy, Prasheel Gukanti and National Committee Advisors, Chairs and Co-Chairs Venu Pisike, Venkat Veeraneni, Jaya Chanra (JC), Tirumal Pitta, Sridhar Tirupati, Sriram, Srinivas Vudatha, Niranjan Podduturi, Shiva Ramadugu, Raghu Valusani, and Umesh Muthyala.

ATA Atlanta Team had facilitated women achievers as part of the international women’s day celebration. Atlanta teams have given top-notch performances and leadership had personally met several performers to appreciate their performance.

ATA Team felicitated the judges with bouquets and shawls before announcing the winners for best dress category. Judges mentioned that they enjoyed all performances and said each one of them were better than the other and that it was wonderful to see so many outstanding women’s participation in the best dress competition.

The event had got more enriched with the performance of Tollywood singers Madhu Priya and Relare Ganga. Women Audience had moved their legs on the stage and on the floor with the songs of Tollywood singers.
