Chicago, Illinois: The GCIC Volleyball Tournament 2025 successfully concluded on 04/05/2025 at ARC center, Woodridge, Illinois, bringing together top-tier teams and volleyball enthusiasts for a thrilling competition. The event featured outstanding performances, intense matches, and remarkable displays of skill and teamwork.
This year’s tournament witnessed fierce battles on the court, with athletes pushing their limits and delivering breathtaking rallies, powerful spikes, and strategic plays. The championship matches kept the audience on the edge of their seats, culminating in an unforgettable finale.
Players from across the Chicagoland land participated in the tournament. GCIC Organizers made sure that check-in process was smooth for all teams. GCIC sports committee made sure court assignment was done to all teams promptly. Tournament format was designed such that players of all skill levels could play together in league stage and after league stage teams were slotted in Advanced, Intermediate & Basic levels as per their performance.
Planning committee comprising of Siva Arige, Hemachandru Nerlige Rangappa, Surendran Semalai, Venkateswarulu Gajjela, Khalil Ruknoddin, Srujan Nainappagari made sure that rules and format details were conveyed to all players. LakshmiNarayana Thotakura made sure all the match scores are updated correctly.
GCIC board of directors Seshu Chamarthi, Shashank Saduneni, Siva Reddy Palagiri, Venkat Perumalla made sure that food, water and refreshments were available all the time. “Our goal was to celebrate the spirit of volleyball and provide a platform for players to showcase their talent,” said Suganthi Natarajan, GCIC President.
“The energy, passion, and sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament were truly inspiring.” In addition to the competition, the event fostered a sense of community, bringing together players, families, and fans. Spectators cheered on their favorite teams, creating an electrifying atmosphere that highlighted the love for the game.
As the tournament wrapped up, trophies were awarded to the champions, runners-up, and standout players who demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication. The success of the tournament would not have been possible without the support of sponsors, volunteers, and the local community.
