Telangana Bonalu Comes to Dallas: TTA’s First Grand Celebration Unites Over 500 Members

Dallas, Texas: Dallas Makes History with First-Ever Grand Bonalu Celebration, Exclusively Hosted for TTA Members, Proudly Raising the TTA Flag High!. The Dallas chapter of the Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) hosted a grand and successful event under the leadership of TTA Development Director Praveen Chintha Garu, Seva Days Coordinator Viswa Kandi Garu, along with the entire BOD’s & RVP’s.

Over 500 TTA members gathered to celebrate a vibrant day filled with tradition, devotion and festive spirit. A special thanks goes to TTA Founder Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy Garu, AC Chair Dr. Vijayapal Reddy Garu and the entire Advisory Council for their unwavering support.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to TTA President Naveen Reddy Mallipeddi Garu for his continued guidance and commitment to uniting our community and promoting our culture through such a meaningful platform. The celebration beautifully showcased the rich culture of Telangana with a variety of activities.

Including traditional cooking, a colorful Bonalu procession, dynamic Pothuraju performances, dappulu, lively Alai-Balai festivities and fun-filled games for both children and adults. Guests enjoyed a wide range of delicious food and refreshing drinks throughout the event.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our exceptional Dallas Women’s Team, led by Prashanthi Kanugulla Garu, with strong support from Sindhu, Sruthi Akavaram, Nagamani, Sruthi Anireddy, Jyothi, Rishika and all the dedicated women volunteers. Your meticulous planning, dedication and teamwork were the cornerstone of this event’s success.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Dallas leadership team, including Praveen Chintha Garu (BOD, Development Director), Viswa Kandi Garu (Seva Days Coordinator), BOD’s – Venkat Annapareddy, Naresh Bynagari, Sreekanth Gali, RVPs: Prashanthi Kanugulla, Sandeep Katuri, Shekar Kuntiyellannagari, Mahesh Lakkapally, Nishank Kudithi, RCs and all volunteers.

Your tireless efforts behind the scenes ensured that every detail was perfectly executed. With unity, enthusiasm, and shared pride in our heritage, the TTA Dallas family made Bonalu & Alai-Balai 2025 a truly joyful and memorable celebration of Telangana tradition and spirit!
