Seattle, Washington: TTA brought together an unprecedented gathering of 5000 people for Bathukamma Sambaralu

Seattle, Washington, September 27, 2025: The Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) Seattle Chapter proudly hosted Bathukamma Sambaralu 2025 at North Creek High School, bringing together an unprecedented gathering of over 5,000 people for an evening filled with devotion, tradition, culture, and unity.

The event was a vibrant celebration of Telangana’s most beloved festival, Bathukamma, showcasing the spirit of togetherness, cultural pride, and community strength that defines the Telugu diaspora in the Pacific Northwest.

The evening was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Vishwa Prasad Garu, renowned film producer Shri Suresh Kumar Sharma, Consul from the Consulate General of India-Seattle Miss India & Actress Manasa Varanasi, who joined the festivities and celebrated with the community.

TTA extends our deepest gratitude to Vamshi Reddy Kancharakuntla Garu for his constant guidance and encouragement, and to the Advisory Council, President Naveen Reddy Mallipeddi Garu, Founder Dr. Pailla Mallareddy Garu, AC Chair Dr. Vijayapal Reddy Garu, AC Co-Chair Dr. Mohan Reddy Patalolla Garu, AC Members Bharath Reddy Madadi Garu and Srinivas Anugu Garu, and the entire Executive Committee (EC), Board of Directors (BOD), Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), and Regional Coordinators (RCs) for their unwavering leadership and support.

Special appreciation goes to TTA Board Members Ganesh Madhav Veeramaneni Garu, Pradeep Mettu Garu and Manohar Bodke Garu along with Priyanka Reddy Garu for their valuable support. We also recognize the dedication and efforts of our RVPs – Shyam Garu, Prasad Senapathi Garu, and Lava Kumar Garu – for their significant contributions to making this event a grand success.

The celebrations began with Jyothi Prajwalana and devotional prayers, followed by a traditional Bathukamma procession that saw women adorned in vibrant sarees carrying beautifully decorated floral arrangements. The evening continued with folk songs, cultural performances, and traditional dances, all paying tribute to Telangana’s rich heritage.

In addition to Bathukamma, the chapter also hosted a vibrant Durga Pooja this year — a deeply spiritual and joyous celebration that brought the community together in devotion, strength, and shared cultural heritage. Guests enjoyed a delicious community dinner featuring authentic Telangana cuisine, lovingly prepared and served to celebrate the spirit of togetherness.

The event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors, partners, and dedicated volunteers, whose contributions were instrumental in making Bathukamma Sambaralu 2025 a resounding success. The celebration also included special felicitations to distinguished guests and showcased the tireless efforts of the TTA Seattle team and community volunteers, who worked behind the scenes to create a memorable experience for all.

With colorful flowers, soulful songs, vibrant performances, and the warmth of shared meals, Bathukamma Sambaralu 2025 stood as a proud testament to Telangana’s living traditions and the unity of the Telugu community in the Greater Seattle area. The overwhelming participation and joy reflected the deep roots, cultural pride, and strong bonds that continue to flourish within the diaspora.
