Keshavapatnam, Telangana: A large-scale Free Women’s Health Camp, sponsored by Smt. Kavitha Reddy under Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) umbrella and in collaboration with KIMS CSR, was successfully conducted on Wednesday, offering vital preventive healthcare services to women from Keshavapatnam and surrounding villages.
The camp saw an impressive response, recording 367 general health checkups, including screenings for diabetes, obesity, hemoglobin levels, thyroid function, bone mass density, and ECG. In a strong push toward early cancer detection, the camp also facilitated 60 mammograms and 150 Pap smears.
The program was formally inaugurated by Dr. Kavvampally Satyanarayana, MLA Manakondoor, who opened the cancer screening unit supported by the KIMS CSR mobile medical team. Dr. Kishan Porandla, State President, IMA Telangana, inaugurated the Pap Smear testing center.
Senior medical professionals — Dr. Akula Shailaja, Dr. Mantri Vijayalakshmi, Dr. Padma Latha Nagumalla, and Dr. R. Venkateshwarlu — inaugurated the consulting and diagnostic rooms.Addressing the gathering, Dr. Satyanarayana emphasized the need for timely health checkups and early cancer diagnosis for women’s well-being.
Dr. Kishan highlighted the ongoing partnership between IMA and TTA in expanding preventive healthcare outreach.TTA leaders including Dr. Vijayapal Reddy, Naveen Reddy Mallipeddi (President), Dr. Mohan Reddy Patalolla, Dr. Dwarakanatha Reddy, Praveen Chintha, Viswa Kandi, Dr. LN Reddy, Jyothi Reddy Dudipala, and spoke about the organization’s service initiatives.
They also invited the public to the TTA 10th Anniversary celebrations on December 25 at Shilpakala Vedika and shared updates on the 2026 TTA Mega Convention scheduled for July 17–19, 2026, in Charlotte, USA.Throughout the day, more than 370 registered patients received consultations, with diagnostic services running until 5:30 PM.
Expressing her gratitude, Smt. Kavitha Reddy thanked all dignitaries, the KIMS CSR team, participating doctors including Dr. Geeta Reddy and Dr. Vanaja, and the TTA leadership. She also acknowledged the support of local community members — Sathu Mallesh, Srinivas Goud, and her family members Narayan Reddy Babai, Ramachandra Reddy Chinnanana, Narayan Reddy Annaiah, Ch. Surendar Reddy, Gangadhar, among others — for their contribution to the successful execution of the camp.
