Music for a Cause: Sankara Nethralaya Los Angeles Chapter Organizes Fundraising Concert in Placentia, California

The Los Angeles Chapter of Sankara Nethralaya USA successfully organized a fundraising light music concert on the evening of December 7th 2025 at the Valencia High School Auditorium in Placentia, California. The concert featured captivating performances by renowned artists Sumangaly, Anjana Sowmya, Parthu Nemani, and Mallikarjun.

Singers enthralled the audience with over three hours of soulful music. The event was well attended and graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Prem Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Prime Healthcare, who attended as the Chief Guest, and Dr. K. J. Srinivasa, Consul General of India in Los Angeles, who attended as the Guest of Honor.

Sankara Nethralaya’s mission to restore sight to millions is made possible through the generous support of donors and sponsors. At the event, MESU sponsors from Los Angeles — Sri Sarath Kamineni garu, Sri Syam Kunam garu, Dr. Krishna Reddy garu, and Sri Gautham Nellutla garu and donors, Smt. Lakshmi & Sri Trinath Trinath Goteti, Sri Mallik Kesavaraju , Drs. Murali & Swarna Chanduri,Sri Shivanath Paranandi — were formally honored by Dr. Prem Reddy garu in recognition of their continued support.

Addressing the audience, Consul General Dr. K. J. Srinivasa emphasized the vital role of the Indian diaspora in strengthening positive relations between India and their country of residence. Dr. Prem Reddy garu commended Sankara Nethralaya’s noble cause, encouraged greater community participation, and personally announced the organization of several eye care camps.

The successful execution of the concert was made possible through the dedicated leadership of Executive Vice President Sri Shyam Appali, Board of Trustee Sri Mallik Banda, Publicity Chair Sri Prasad Rani, Chapter Vice President Smt.
