Pulimamidi, Kandukur Mandal, Rangareddy District, Telangana – In a heartening development for rural education in Telangana, the GATeS has extended its Backhome Service Youth Enrichment Project to Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Pulimamidi, located in the Kandukur Mandal of Rangareddy district.

This effort, led by GATeS Team, reflects a broader mission to support and uplift educational infrastructure in underserved communities across Telangana. The project was coordinated by Rajib Mukherjee, working closely with the school faculty, local leadership, and the village community.

A Holistic Infrastructure Upliftment for Quality Education
The back home project is designed to bridge gaps in educational infrastructure that often limit students in rural schools from reaching their full potential. At ZPHS Pulimamidi, the school saw significant improvements including the provision of modern book shelves in classrooms and the library to organize and protect valuable learning materials. White marker boards replaced outdated chalkboards, improving the teaching experience with a cleaner and more interactive classroom environment.

Notice boards were installed to boost internal communication, showcase student achievements, and display important updates. In addition, lab infrastructure support was extended to strengthen science education through essential equipment and better organization, enabling students to engage in practical, hands-on learning. Several other school development needs were also addressed, contributing to a more effective and enriching environment for both students and staff.

Empowering Youth, Honoring Roots
The back home Service Youth Enrichment Project reflects GATeS’ commitment to empowering youth by reconnecting successful professionals and diaspora leaders with their native villages. “This is not just about donating equipment,” said President Naveen Battini, “it’s about investing in the next generation and making sure no child is left behind due to lack of resources.”

Chairman Naveen Vujjini emphasized the importance of sustainable, community-focused support. “We believe real change starts in classrooms. Our goal is to provide tools, motivation, and mentorship to students, while also supporting the educators who shape their future.”

Community-Driven Change
The support extended to ZPHS Pulimamidi was made possible through strong coordination with school staff, including teachers and administrative members, along with involvement from local village leadership. Their participation ensured that resources were relevant, useful, and seamlessly integrated into the school’s daily routine.

Deepak and team who managed the coordination on the ground, highlighted the importance of collaborative effort. “It’s truly heartening to see school staff, village elders, and external supporters working together to create meaningful change for our students.”. Thanks to all the GATeS Sponsors and Volunteers.
