American Telugu Association (ATA) Wisconsin Chapter organized a family picnic event on Saturday August 16th at the in Milwaukee. The energy and enthusiasm were incredible, with participants ranging from 5-year-old kids to senior citizens.
Excitement was palpable with and felt like a huge festival, with over 500+ attended the event. A wide variety of activities were conducted not only including games, competitions, music, dancing, prize distributions, barbecue chicken, live dosa, a full-scale South Indian lunch, and so much more.
American Telugu Association (ATA) President Mr. Jayanth Challa along with Media chair Mr. Bhanu Swargam attended the event. ATA President Mr. Jayanth Challa distributed the prizes to the bingo winners. Organizers were ecstatic with the huge turn out and thanked the local team members and numerous volunteers for their support.
Mr. Challa quoted that ‘I know that by naming a few, I risk leaving many out, but I would like to acknowledge some key individuals: Polireddy, who is hardworking and well-respected in the community; Chandra Mouli, whose energy and generosity provided us with delicious Hyderabadi Biryani; and Jayanth Para, Karunakar, Venkat Jalari,Utkarsh, Santhoshi, Gayathri, and many others who contributed to the success of the event.’
ATA Milwaukee Team Polireddy Ganta and Chandramouli appreciated and recognized the support of all the sponsors who generously offered free food, provided a DJ, and covered expenses for the event, with out whose support the event would not have been made possible.
