Telugu Association of North America (TANA) in association with Association of Indo Americans (AIA) organized “Dussehra Diwali Dhamaka (DDD) 2022”, a day long festival celebrations at Alameda County Fair Grounds on Saturday, October 15th from 12 noon to 11 in the night.
The grand Diwali event witnessed more than 45 thousand attendees with several dignitaries including Congressman Ro Khanna, Indian Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad, Alameda County Supervisor, David Haubert and several other Bay Area elected officials as guests.
TANA team and volunteers led by Northern California Regional Representative, Ram Thota, representing both the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana took leading role in organizing the grand event and joined the grand Ravan Dahan and fireworks activities.
The event had several highlights such as Ravan Dahan, Fireworks display, Rath Yatra, Ram Leela performance on the auspicious occasion, Maha Mangal Aarti, Free Disco Dandiya and Garba, Food Fest with cuisines from all corners of India, Mithai festival, non-stop cultural programs with spectacular dances, Carnival Rides and games for kids and adults, Fashion shows, Rangoli, Dance, Art competitions, Carroms and Chess competitions.
The spectacular fireworks and 25ft Ravan Dahan attracted huge crowds making it the most memorable event of the times and one of the biggest Diwali events in the entire USA. TANA president, Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu congratulated Northern California TANA team for the grand successful “Dussehra Diwali Dhamaka (DDD) 2022″ event.
