Washington, D.C.: The American Telugu Association (ATA) is conducting community and charitable activities during the holiday season all across US and India. Charitable Events include food drives, prep meals to fight hunger, organizing health checkups, spending time with senior citizens, and donating to local police and firefighters, among other activities to name a few.
On November 22nd, at one of the events held in DC, volunteers especially youth and high school students, came together to help the DC Central Kitchen, well known for feeding the needy and poor, by assisting in chopping, cooking and package nutritious meals, fostering a strong sense of community and social responsibility.
Our combined efforts not only provided essential sustenance but also highlighted the impact of teamwork and community support. The generosity of ATA volunteers shone through as they graciously covered the costs of vegetables and fruits, further enhancing outreach and inspiring us with their commitment to making a difference.
We commend ATA DC team for their selflessness, enthusiasm, and dedication to community service. Every volunteer played a vital role in the success of this event, showcasing the power of collective action. Thanks one and all for your unwavering passion & dedication!
Looking ahead, ATA is excited to host the 19th ATA Conference and Youth Convention in Baltimore, July 31-August 2, with an expected attendance of over 10,000 people. Together, with your continued support we will continue to make a positive impact in our communities.
